And if I might add, one stupid thing to do is logging into your Yahoo account in an internet cafe and forgetting to log out. That's what happened to someone I know. Even if it's the end of the world and everybody is scrambling to get into safety, NEVER forget to log out especially if you have very private emails in your Yahoo account.
You can use a Yahoo! chat client like Miranda that is compatible with the OTR plugin, for strong encryption on your IM conversations.
you should keep changing your password regularly......especially if you are logging in from different systems..that will definitely help
Maybe you didn't noticed or you tend to click the remember my account log in.. it also happens to me. That was the disadvantage for using shared computer.
Lol I rarely click on Remember my account on Shared computers. infact I don't open mails on shared computers.
This is the right thing to do. You can also use an email forwarding so that emails will be sent to your other account, the not-so important one...
I think yahoo is a well website for corresponding & attach with people its a safe to use & safe to log out.
If someone logged in your account is more likely you have a hackable password I have never used Yahoo messenger though but Miranda, trouble-free messenger that supports Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, etc. etc.
Do not use the option of saving your password, if you are signing in from any different location other than your home. Dont keep on adding unknown friends, some might add you and send you a link which might have a virus.
I use yahoo messenger about 5 years now, no problem..i think it is safe if you use good antivirus program
yes yahoo messenger is safe until unless you are infected with any info stealer that is specially written for yahoo messenger. But do not think everything is perfect Yahoo! can bite you here is the report that was done by us to Yahoo! http://lexcodetechnologies.com/yahoo-xss-sql-injection.html Code (markup): I can show you the impact that you are not secure anymore
