...there is no secret. Want to make money, run it like a business. I see a lot of people around here asking the same age old question "How do I make money online". Focus on money will not make as much money as running it like a business. Run it like a business Just like any business there are 3 major factors to focus on (I am sure there are more) Customer Service Always treat your customers like gold. Without customers we have ZERO business and especially few to no repeat clients who are the best ones. Marketing Always have a constant marketing plan. Atleast one person on your team or yourself should be marketing your business on a regular basis. I got 3,000 visitors on one of my websites yesterday, if you want to more check my traffic report (free). Have someone on your team always working on these methods. Strong System Make the process super easy for customers and minimal to no involvement for you. This includes having the technical side set up, automated email responses, product deliver etc.. If you want to make money online, you MUST run it like a serious business. Cheers, Mukul
Well said, and bravo. I tell EVERYONE the same thing in my tutorials for online industry and start ups. This online game is no different then running a REAL WORLD business. Accounting, marketing, taxes, etc.. The more you run it like one, the better off you'll be. The only REAL difference is you have more freedom, and you can work from your panties.
Wow, this was awesome, to-the-point information I need to hear from time-to-time. I feel that sometimes I lose focus on the basic fundamentals of my online revenue streams -- so thanks a ton for the reminder Personally, I think Customer Relations is crucial right now, as small businesses are coming back stronger, and more innovative than ever before. A business backed with solid CRM is certain to over power the competition. (look at Zappos.com -- whose sole success is due to it's boasting of it's CRM)
The only reason I am entering the teaching IM niche with Internet Marketing Crunch is that I see an opportunity to many people are only making money by teaching how to make money and dont give the correct information. After 6 years of making money outside the Internet Marketing niche, I am entering this niche for that exact reason. TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE PEOPLE, NO #s. I also think you should charge them if you are giving value, but GIVE value. Cheers, Mukul
Very true, thanks for the solid advice! I've been following you from another forum. Great contributions, mukul!
I also think you should charge them if you are giving value, but GIVE value ...couldn't have said it better!
Having a business is not enough. You got to turn it into your hobby so that you won't go tired of it. This is what those succesful businessman are doing.
Your top 3 points satisfies me a lot in making money over internet! Even run it like business leads in all
I did a video the other day for my IM Crunch membership website coming soon (shameless plug for IM Crunch in my signature, but I will share the content in that video here to make it even ). The video was about brainstorming ideas for making money online. Do this is a quiet spot with just a pen and paper, not on a computer. Now the website has to meet 2 criterias 1. Something you are passionate about 2. Something there is demand for. The reason for the passion is that making money online a lot of work at the start (hence crunch time) and you need this passion to help you get through that time when things dont work, you may fail, if you keep fighting you have a good chance of making it. If you stop, you have a ZERO chance to success. I want you people to succeed, so I want them to have passion to make it through those times The other reason demand, if you love doing something and there is no demand, there is no money. Make sure that people want what you have. This can be a thread on its own Make sure you have both Cheers, Mukul
Find something you enjoy, focus on it and work your @$$ off If you dont like that, play the lottery. Mukul
Key Point made already... Learn to market. I don't care if you are selling filet mignon for a quarter a pound. If no one knows you are selling then you are not in business.
True dat. If you know HOW TO SELL it does not matter what you are trying to push. Your own stuff, affiliate, membership, clips, whatever. Knowing the HOW is more important than the product more times then not.
I think that there are some alternative ways to make money online. Of course we have all heard of those companies with their pyramid schemes and what not. But do they actually work. THe answer is not probably the way they say they do. In fact sometimes it requires you to do a lot more work. I think that I have found a website that shows you how to successfully make money online.
No offence but you are just stating obvious and makng general statements out of the typical business management textbook and the usual ebook stuff. People wil be more interested in more specifics and details and niches.
