Hello, I have got a website which has unique content. Now I am concentrating on building links. My website traffic is not good either. I have got PR2 after 5-6 months I guess. Now the problem is that I am looking for one way links. I have contacted the administrator of website and they are either not interested or wants a reciprocal. What is the best strategy to convince them for one way link. The other issue is that my niche is different from most of dofollow blogs and forums. Still in that case should I be giving importance to blog and forum commenting ? Thanks.
Don't pay too much attention to link relevance and move outside your niche. Just make sure you use anchor text and your links will be very useful even without staying in your niche.
Build quality in-content links. Article marketing, press release marketing...those will help you a lot. Especially if your press release is anything decent.
Go for article submission, directory submission, press release submission, social media book marking and Social media optimization
Write articles with headlines that users want to read. The quality of article is what brings user to site. Find a niche and start writing. Else there are tons of other sites which copy contents from other sites just to make themselves "keyword rich" I am not doing self marketing but look at our blog. Thanks ridwanessa for sharing this great article. It was superb! I have also seen lots of helpful advices from you. I will surely check this out later.
Article submission is a great way to build relevant back-links. There is definitely a learning curve to SEO copywriting (especially if you're discussing a topic outside of your expertise), but there are plenty of guides out there. I've managed to achieve some success with directory submissions in addition to articles. Definitely listen to the advice by dominik79 - use effective & contextual anchor text any time you're building links. The important thing is to come up with a link building strategy that encompasses several different mediums such as blogs, forums, directories, articles, social media, etc. The bigger your net, the more you'll catch.
My only advice is not to use the same anchor text repeatedly. It's got to appear natural to the search engines.
this is a BAD advice. relevant links are the key. yes, you can get backlinks that are not relevant and they will help to some extent but each backlink has certain value and relevant backlinks worth more than links that are not relevant. @OP, forget about link exchange and you will just spend too much of your time contacting other website owners and not get much in return. hardly anyone will give you free link unless you have a really high quality no commercial site. there are plenty of ways to build one way backlinks and lot of them are free as well. article directory submission, blogposts (you can write guest posts on other blogs as all blog owners need content for their sites and some blog owners will like to have guest bloggers writing on their blogs), web 2.0 pages (squidoo, hubpages, blogger, wordpress) etc. there are plenty of other ways to build one way backlinks, just do some research on link building or link development. you can also read this article on link building methods
