When i try to submit i get this (unfair) message:
"Sorry - seems you are a spammer and have been banned.."

this is not right. please check your website..

Interesting - seems like your IP address is on a spam blacklist..
I'm using the following mod which checks the submitters IP address against a list of known spammers:

Has anyone else had this problem when submitting?

 

Hey how can it be a spammer IP. I am using India's National Communication Co BSNL 's DataOne Broadband ( www.bsnl.co.in ).

I disconnected & then connected. so my IP changed. Now I can submit.

Sorry - seems you are a spammer and have been banned.

Same thing happened to me too. I think you have banned ips like 59.93.*.* like something. And it blocked millions of Indians (mainly BSNL users) to access the submit page. I think there's some drawback in the programme. Now if every directory owner installs this script then it'll create a problem for BSNL(India's largest Internet Service Provider) users.

The script here at http://www.frozenminds.com/spamblacklist.html is checking against provided blacklists. I do not have access to them to check your IP if it was banned or not.

Maybe you just got a random IP that someone else used in the past for spamming. Whenever you feel banned, you can check the IP on the homepages of those blacklists and ask for removal.

I have disconnected and reconnected 3 times, my ips changed to 59.93.206.xxx, 59.94.214.xxx and 59.93.204.xxx and saw all are blocked in http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ip4r.ch?ip=

Now it shows "your ip has no reverse DNS entry; some mail servers may not accept your mail", now what's the reverse DNS entry ?

 

Okay, I've removed the check from the submit page so now everyone should be able to submit their sites, will see how things go like this but I may decide to add it back in the future..

After one more disconnected/reconnetced, I can access the submit page and also submitted one site successfully. I dont know how many ips are listed in that list. But when someone who is not familiar with this one cant submit his/her sites, this will create problems for them and other varying ip users. Since we have no idea who used my present ip and whether it has been banned or not.

Oh sorry you have removed the check list. That means I still remain a spammer.


just checked some random ips ranging from 59.93.204.140 to 59.93.204.149 all are banned.
