Someone has decided to show Dan up with a $30k challenge! Check out their slogan - "Because We're Twice As Good As That Other Guy "...
Ehhh... I don't like this one. First of, it is 3 guys: "About Us We are a team of 3 internet marketers with 23 years of combined experience. Although we all started out in different areas online we eventually crossed paths in 2003 and have been working together since. " And then there are rules like "We can use our current resources like hosting even if it goes over the $100 budget."... that's not fair.... they might already have the products made, advertising bought etc.
I hope it's not going to be like the Million Dollar homepage with 1,000 of copy cats springing up all over the place.
I guess if we do the maths... 1 Guy = 15k Challenge 3 Guys= 30k Challenge So basically the 30k challenge folks are donig a 10K challenge each How does that make them twice as good? LOL. Ah well. Maybe I will do the 45k challenge with 9 friends. Ok... I wont.
I hope the $30k guys have a better plan than the $15k guy. The $15k guy is hawking craft books. Yeah good luck on that one.
Why wouldnt that do well? As far as I know there are millions of people interested in crafts. There are 2 in my house who are heavily in to crafs.
Pah, thats nothing. I will start the $100k challenge next month. I will use the great viral marketing buzz it will generate to my advantage, collect some emails and after I obviously lost, I will photoshop some picture of some person with a string tanga in a shopping center as proof that I lived up to my promise. What a big scam.
"We're twice as good as the other guy"... So... 3 guys are twice as good as the "other GUY"? Interesting slogan... I guess their math isn't as good?
I dunno, I doubt they'll reach their goal and are trying to do viral marketing for an idea which was already marketed before..
It can be done, but these guys just don't seem to have the real ability to do it. Dan Raine on the other hand might be able to at least get close to the 15k... if I had to guess I'd say he might get 8-9k.
Most don't know how to use computers however. The "craft" demographic may be the least computer literate demographic out there. I can't imagine selling e-books to them.
if anyone is thinking about registering http://www.31kchallenge.com/ I already got it. don't even try. jk. but seriously.
Hi there, Congrats on getting me to register. I've been following this thread off and on but your post is the one that made me sign up. I just wanted to say that if your expectations are so low that you think $30,000 in a month is beyond reason then you should shut down AOL and find another hobby. I'm not saying that we will for sure make $30,000 on this experiment but that is not the point. I personally made $20,000 my first full month in online marketing all the way back with ebay in 1999. I had another + $20,000 month on a new business in 2001 starting from scratch. It's not $30,000 but this is when I was an internet donkey like yourself. Lucky for me I grew out of my ignorance and realized that with hundreds of millions of people online and a medium as wonderful as the internet that it takes a very very large dollar amount as a goal before one should ever utter the word "never". Cheers -Webmaster X Products made? Advertising? Look at when the domains were registered. Do you think we would risk a business model that was already completed by letting the domains sit unregistered? We are doing this bad boy from the ground up in front of your eyes, win lose or draw. Enjoy. Yes we scammed you. Call the FBI quick! For the record, if we lose money it will be posted. If we make $2 it will be posted. Over the years we have started dozens of new businesses and as good as we are not all of them succeeded. We have nothing to hide, have no shame, and don't care what happens at this point. We're having fun, you on the other hand seem to be an angry person and might want to seek some professional help.
