How do you get traffic to parked domain names?

Of course, its best when you have a domain with good type in traffic. I do get some type-in traffic for one of my parked domains, but does anyone know how best to get traffic to a parked domain? This could get a bit blackhat I guess!

I was almost sure of that. But actually this question cropped up in my mind when I searched for a keyword on yahoo and the top result was a parked domain! And that guy must be earning some moolah...

first, develop it for 2-3 months.

    Then park it.

and you win (if you develop well)

my opinion, if i get traffics afterdevelop domain/website for 2-3 months..better monetize websites than park it..income from your own website is more stable than domain parking

exactly. Problem is this guy is asking about how to get traffic to parked domain names. That's why I tell him to develop and park. He isn't asking about the best way to monetize a domain name.

develop = put some content into the website.

First off you should develop the site. I mean put some content and start building backlink. Once your site is about 3 month old, you can park it and get some steady flow of visitors there.

To develop means to make a website over it. Promote it a bit and earn some traffic. If the website is not working you out good profits then park it.

Making a new website and then building backlinks all over again is such a pain in the ***. Having a busy time with the other websites I maintain!

The only effective parked domains are the ones that had a website running on them for some time.
If you're builind a network of cross-linking parked domains, make sure there are some with a good PR among them.
Try to register some dropped names perhaps.

Sending traffic to a parked domain makes no sense. The point of parking a domain is to get money from natural traffic that already exists. If you're going to put energy into generating traffic, develop the site a bit. Even if you just put up a simple WP blog with a landing page, a video, an article, etc. it is better than leaving it parked. These days there are lots of tools for auto blogging and site building. The sites can look spammy but they are fine alternatives to parking pages which tend to scream "Nothing useful here, move along!":)

Regarding what the original OP asked:
You need to find an advertising method that will NOT pass a referrer page. One example is if you upload YouTube videos and brand the actual video with the domain name. You can also place it in the description of the video, but that will make the referring video visible in the logs of the domain parking company (e.g. SEDO or AdSense for Domains). It's better if you only brand the video and don't put links in the description.

Then find videos that will get lots of views (striptease or porn) and put false advertising in the video like - "Watch the rest of the video here...". People will have to type the domain in their browser and they will get your parked site. No referrer is passed so the parking company will think it's just type-in traffic, but won't know where the user actually came from.
