What counts as a High Quality Backlink?

    I have a site where people submit their confessions. I want to leave backlinks but where do I go to leave High Quality Backlinks. And also, why do people prefer to post on a page 6 or 7 ranked website instead of a rank 1 or 2 website? I don't get this.

    I'd say a backlink from a relevant site; preferably pagerank 5++.

    These r the reasons:
    Back links from High PR site have more weightage.
    SE give more preference to the back links from high PR

    As for you question... here the measures by which you can rate the 'power' of back links from some particular website:
    1. Google Page Rank, of course
    2. Website backlinks profile
    3. Content
    4. Number of pages indexed
    5. Number of outbound links

    back links with high page rank are treated as high quality back links.

    My experience proved that relevancy much more important than PR. Much more usefull if a PR2 article page about red shoes will link to your red shoes site, compared to a link from a PR6 Laptop sales website. Hope you got the idea, :)

    quailty backlinks mean to build links from related scheme sites with high page rank and with te correct anchor text. you must see what the page talks about and type the right words as the anchor text
