I think you don't understand my question. I would like to design free web templates and find sponsors for these templates on DP forum...so, I'm asking is it worth it and how much money can be made this way!
Everyone loves free stuff, aslong as you link to yourself, and sell atleast 3 link spaces im sure it would be profitable, i guess depending on how good you are and how long it takes to make the sites.
Well...I have a few years of experience in design, so I think I could make nice templates...I already have a few and I think people will like them! If You would like, I can show You my websites' design (the website is still not finished), so You can see what can I do!? I think I can make a nice wordpress template in 2 days or less, soooo...that's great! If I could sell footer links, of course!
well designing them is just the first step. people who buy links in themes have expectations regarding promotion of the theme, like submitting it to various Theme sites etc. So, better add that time into your cost estimate. And if you want an idea of how much people charge, go check the BST>Template/Theme Sponsorship. Much better idea than asking people, actually look at what the final amounts are for comparable quality level themes.
Its depend on the quality of the template itself. Normally i sell it for $50/link and there is max 3 link at each template.
That's great!!! The only problem is that I am from Croatia,and I can't receive PayPal payments,so I can only sell links with MoneyBookers or something like that! So, if anyone has another solution...?
You can make anyway from $0 to $xxx for each unique template you make. Have said that, it depends more on how you maket yourself and your designs NOT just enough that you have great technical skills. Cos for every template designer like you there are probably another 99 lurking in corner ready to jump and offer their templates to any buyer
