can anyone give me a reason why yahoo search is better than google search and why people prefare to run after google.
for one, yahoo is about to merge with bing, hence more traffic and exposure. plus you don't have to deal with a damn quality score!
I have to agree that Yahoo answers is very beneficial. What I still do not understand after so many years of Internet Marketing, is why people adore Google and underestimate the other TWO major search engines. And I say other two major SE because, for those who do not know, there are quite a few.
It isn't true that Yahoo and MSN don't have a quality score. It may not be spelled out specifically but speaking with reps from both companies will tell you that you still must be relevant to the ads and keywords within your campaign. MSN even advocates keyword stuffing on your landing page. They just aren't quite as anal as Google.
Google handles all of my daily web searching, email, chat, RSS feeds, blog monetization, etc. In my opinion, it blows Yahoo (and most other Internet companies) clear out of the water. However, there are a select few services that I regularly turn to Yahoo for. Why? Its either because Yahoo does it better, or because Google doesnt offer it. I found the post interesting because it addresses the underlying split loyalty in the Internet industry to different companies due to their different features and niche dominance. For example, most Internet users in the US prefer Google Search to Yahoo Search, but still may use Yahoo News, Yahoo Sports or Yahoo Finance on a loyal & daily basis. I had posted a while back how Yahoo’s MyYahoo startpage now lets its users check their GMail accounts via Yahoo, which was a smartm ove on their parts because it helps curb user attrition to Google via GMail dependence. Google uses similar aggregation tactics, with its video search for example; it’s more efficient to search for MySpace or iFilm videos on Google than on the sites themselves. And with the new Google SocialStream project, Google looks to be the centralized network for keeping track of various social network friends and interfaces, since many of us have multiple MyBlogLog, MySpace, Facebook and other social accounts. So, what does Yahoo still do better than Google? Here’s a roundup (but for all of the info check out the original blog): 1. Yahoo Finance 2. Yahoo Answers : Q&A 3. Backlink Reporting via Yahoo Site Explorer 4. Flickr : Photo Uploading & Sharing 5. Local Search : Nuff Said 6. Entertainment 7. Privacy
yahoo is better than google? nooooooo, never Google is best. I always prefer Google only. getting better traffic from google than yahoo and MSN
Google has positioned itself as the search engine of choice. Sort of like McDonald's. I avoid McD but they do such a good marketing job that it's the first thing people think of when they want to grab a bite. Doesn't mean they are better (although I think Google is very good) or better in all things. If we are talking about advertising on Google vs Yahoo, no reason not to use both and maximize your exposure. Google does have the exposure with 80% of the SE market so it would be stupid not to use them. They have tools that Yahoo doesn't and their content network is bigger and better in my opinion. Yahoo does have their own rules, similar to Google. They also have their own version of quality score, it's just not as apparent as Google.
i think you are wrong becouse google is more better than yahoo. google search accurately of the filled entity.
I dont think so yahoo is better than google as many for searcher always prefer to go for google as google bring maximum traffice and more prefered result .yahoo has merge with BING still it has to work a lot to gain Google market Share
Google's search results are streets ahead of Yahoos. Just look at all the KID sites that rank in Yahoo. Yahoo news feeds are nice and I tend to visit their homepage for those, but I never use Yahoo to search.
When you are on the first page of google SERP you are flooded with the visitors. My blog is on the first page of yahoo SERP for certain keyword but getting 200-300 UV per day but when I have a new post, Its shows on the google first page for the same keyword as "search results from Blogs" and I get 1000 UV on that day
Only because My site is #1 in yahoo for keyword, "Bay Area Web Marketing" I guess I favor yahoo a little bit.
Excuse me, who said that? And why people use it after Google... simple, nowadays there isn't other major search engine out there except Bing.
