Background isn't displaying properly. It's centered on the page with white columns on the left and right side, which makes your links at the top go away since they are white as well. The tree image behind the search bar is distracting, keep it simple...look at the most popular search engine on the internet. Do a search for web 2.0 buttons and replace the ones you have on your site...for instance the "Search" button, it doesn't look right.
The links to the articles is hard to see due to the back ground image, I would put your "Recent view Content" "Popular Content" ...etc. sections and links inside a 1 celled table and have a semi transparent background so you can see the links better and still see the background. Site looks good though
Yes , but what i do now ? change it ? it;s work is very very different from other search engines like as bing , it search between contents no websites , it use rss technology for index recently web content , Thanks you for your review , i need your idea to improve it and create usefull content search engine .. and i told it that is now on alpha state and i must improve it ,
Its very uncluttered which is good, not sure about that tree in the background i think i would chop it down and add something else. One think i am not sure about is who would use it ovewr the normal big 3 search engines as i have seen 100s of these types of site over the years and the owners all have high hopes for them just to end up on the scrapheal a short time later. I hope i am wrong on the last statement but good luck with it and i guess will look forward to the beta stage.
Here's more detail on what to do to improve the site, in my opinion of course. Home Page 1. Fix the main background so it displays properly on higher resolution screens (doesn't span the entire width) 2. Search some stock images and replace the tree, it's a bit busy with the text over it (istock.com) 3. Find better buttons and replace "Search" and home icon. (search "web 2.0 buttons" on Google and you should find something) 4. Add logo to homepage (see #5 below) Search results page 5. Use a different font for your logo (or hire someone to recreate your logo) 6. Move your logo down a bit so it doesn't crowd your links at the top 7. Use a sans serif font for your search results, such as Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, etc 8. Create a buffer between the vertical banner and the results
You are a step ahead of me so I give you credit for starting on something. Where is the logo? I think the concept is a good idea, but I would think about getting a name that's a little more catchy and shorter since its a search engine. I guess its really just the word "webs" that I see as funny because it has an "s" on it. Is the tree symbolic of branching off throughout the web or everything being connected online or something like that?
Thanks @tdigitty , I do some of your suggestion @phasax : i no decided for it's name until now , i don't find good name , For tree : it is symbolic of grow up human since that in root to light and Destroy dark slowly and step by step
