How to know that the content that i am putting in my site are unique?

Hi Guys,
I have some medical books and i am using them to post articles on my sites and i want to know weather they have been used by others before or i am the first to provide these contents.
Is there any way to know that?

Does adsense policy mind in i use books to provide contents?

your first concern would be YOU have permission to use those books content and republish part of it ?
if you have written content from the original author AND copyright owner ( which in case of books normally most of the time is the publisher and no longer the author ).

the ONLY way to know that your content is unique is by stopping to copy any content from other sources and by starting to CREATE content all by yourself. this may take time, even efforts and more importantly even some real investments in studies of a subject
