Good timing for them. Why would it be better? They are not working on it. As noted they are handing search over to Bing.

Hadn't noticed. They both seem to give different results for what I'm looking for. I still can't decide if I like bing or yahoo better right now...it's a toss up.

The transition will occur somewhere in 2010 holiday season or 2011... So for now they use their own technologies.

I read in an article that Yahoo is becomming the next AOL (which is like) going down the drain to bankruptcy, losses, and dissolve into nothiing, thanks to their Board of Management.

Anyway, Yahoo just doens't cater to small people anymore.

I do not think so. As logn as Yahoo does rely too much with on-page factor, especially keyword density, then the results is still not good enough. I don't say Yahoo should do just same as Google but it should be a better way to judge the site exclude keyword density. Bing results seem bettre than Yahoo for now. I wonder how Microsoft would benefits by joined with Yahoo.

Yahoo has a lot of traffic to its site. Microsoft need that traffic to convert to "bing".
So the plan is yahoo will soon feature "bing" and redirect its users to BIng.

I am not talking about search engine traffic, I am talking about overall yahoo offers alot. Google doesn't compare in overall traffic for services like messenger, flicks, etc.,
