I have just had my pc upgraded to windows 7. I love it. Easier to use with some great functions.

I was using vista though so not much to compare it to.

Is there anyone out there who doesn't like windows 7?

It's not that I don't like it, I just don't see the point.
I spent the weekend with a Windows 7 laptop, and I still can't find a reason to upgrade any of my XP Pro machines.

    Hi there,

One reason for Win 7: I installed it on a P4, 2.4 GHZ Machine with 1GB RAM, try THAT with Vista, lol.

it's used as my Media Server on my Big Screen (Internet TV Streaming) and it's fast, again try THAT with Vista....

    Cheers

Being a Vista user before, I found that Windows 7 is not much different compare to Vista accept the OS take less disk space to install and a bit faster to run it.

I would say a good reason to upgrade from xp is that windows 7 is actually much much more secure, and in a lot of cases, faster. I was always a regular wipe my drives and start over person, kept all my stuff on servers and i didn't have a huge number of programs on my computers, and starting over with both of them quite a few times, 7 is faster off the bat, and runs much faster. I also have gotten use to its features, and it is much nicer to deal with than xp. Some of the control panel stuff is annoying, but there are ways to change that pretty easily.

Windows 7 is truly an amazing Operating System but as of now I still love using my Windows XP. I am already used to the interface of it and its features.

I don't know how about you but I liked Vista better.
I didn't have such a problem with XP => Vista upgrade.

Well, you have a point since MS changed the way the "upgrade" works but 7 is more stable, faster , doesn't need so many system resources, is not annoying you when you are clicking something and asks for"do you realllllly want that to happen"...I am a computer technician and i am dealing everyday with customers who have problems with Vista...haven't too much complaints yet from the one who have Windows 7...:) (and i sold new systems with 7 to them)

    Disclaimer:

Win 7 is great.. I am very happy with this OS. Specially, i like self repair if file corrupt and handling of hang application. Several other noticeable enhancement you can not ignore in win7. You don't need to install any driver after basic setup. Win7 do all this for you from audio driver to wifi driver. Forgot about missing driver cds. Just install win7 and you have get to go. However i am also ubuntu lover which works excellent and a good choice if you don't want to pay for OS.

when win98 came.. it was best os from MS
when winxp came, the views changed.. it became best OS..
    now win7..

I must say it isnt definitely the best (I hope MS develops better OS in future), but still its far better than Vista :p
