Hi I'm running one site http://www.pricereviews.co.in. I've started this one in march 2010. But it was not indexed by the google till now. I have two back links from yahoo answers, But no response from google. In my web masters tools page I submitted my site map, but there is no use. Please tell me any one what I've to do.
Check out "privacy" settings in your Wordpress Dashboard (Settings --> Privacy). Make sure you allow search engines to find your blog.
Yea, I would check that too! I've been burned by that before. Your privacy settings can prevent the spiders to come to your site and it will never get indexed.
Addition of sitemaps is no guarantee for fast indexing but links can do a better and faster job. Add more links to your web pages.
the site started from small period and this is not enough to be indexed by the search engines. also be sure that your site pages are uniques and full of content. be patient
Social Bookmarking is the best way to get index very fast, so submit your site into Digg, reddit, stumbleupon, propoler etc..

Like how long? If its more than a couple of days then that's too long already. I think a few hours is the norm.
His including the link to his website in his post here... might have done the trick! He should have rather utilized his signature space and it would have had the same effect! Regards, RightMan
I think it may have been indexed when he wrote the post, but I guess was just wandering why it took so long...?? You are right RightMan, he should have put his link in the signature but then again he may be a newbie like myself and unable to do that for a week on signing
