I'm currently starting a new project as a multi-forums platform at http://f0rums.com to avoid being too static to single area of discussions.

mine is getting about 1500 per month. started end of november but didnt start doing SEO till the last month now i spend 14-20 hour days doing back links. So my signups are growing was getting like 5 a week and last week was 20-25 a day now this week i'm getting close to 40 per day and growing.

Hey got a question for you guys when do you think its best to start charging members? i was thinking once i reach 5-10k members whats your thoughts.

Instead of charging for membership to all, make certain parts of the forum accessible to paid members. If you do that, you can do it anytime.

I see adsense and kontera on your site. Are you using any other revenue source? I mention this because I have similar traffic stats to your site and my revenue is nowhere similar to what you mention.

In fact, I would even be happy of just reaching the goal that you see on my signature even thought my website network has some dimension already.

If you'd like to share your thoughts from one webmaster to another, I'd be appreciated for sure.

i get an occasional affilliate sale, but i'm lucky if that breaks $100/month.. I also just started trying Chitika Premium, but i dont think that will break $500/month. Adsense and Kontera are the two breadwinners.. A year ago i was also selling Premium Memberships - that pushed my monthly income to around $7k-$10k/month - the best month was $14k.. but for various reasons, i've had to put an end to that.

I only show the Kontera and Adsense units to anonymous visitors - not members. I get 12,000-20,000 unique visitors per day - around 40,000 pageviews..
