they remove commission from higher priced items all the time. i had a friend buy a $250 vacuum cleaner and it was under my commissions the next day but a week later they took it off. another time i sold a tv but they took it off, saying that the sale was cancelled which was bs.
Was it canceled due to personal orders? Amazon are quite good at spotting that. Did your friend use your account or your computer?
Yeah if your friend used your pc to buy it then probably Amazon would have remove commissions. TV order cancellation might be true too. I know a guy who old a plasma but it was returned after 3 weeks so he lost commission. But still unless you are willing to take those risks and losses It's hard to service in Affiliate field. I learned from freshdevelopment Amazon.co.uk has a 7 GBP cap for all products but it doesn't stop people joining it and earn money.
Amazon Associates program sucks. The commissions are very low and your affiliate cookie is only valid for 24 hours? What the hell?
You are right - the commissions a low. But if you have a huge collection of products you're promoting, the commissions can quickly add up. Trust me some people make a decent monthly income as Amazon associates.
its a numbers game really, if im sending out a million emails a month with amaazon affiliate offers you will make alot! especially on special occasions like mothers day.
Yes the commissions are low but if you discover a way to create multiple streams of income with the program then you can make really good money from it. For example, every once in a while I will chose a Amazon product that is related to the theme of one of my blogs and do a review on it. When writing the review I make sure that I hyperlink the product name throughout the review, then I take a screen shot of the reviews left on Amazon's website and include it at the bottom of the post, and then at the very bottom I create a widget with other products that are related to the topic. This method works well for me and the key to getting the conversions is to capture the reader's interest, hold it throughout the post, and impress them to the point where they are ready to order. But make sure that everything that you say in your review is authentic and the product can actually help them.
Amazon is not a get rich quick scheme, but they are a trusted brand, and people are far more likely to go through with a big ticket purchase. The best way of increasing your earnings is to target products that are related to your niche. That always converts best. As for the returns, you win some you lose some!
Amazon, like many other services, will add up if you have the right amount of traffic. It is also important to have directed traffic, because they will have a much higher chance of converting. Some people are doing very well, living off of Amazon alone.
Let's look at the bright site The conversion rate from Amazon is higher than other programs. The best seller product is alway sell like crazy. If you can tap in some money then you will make good passive income
This is very, very good advice. Being successful on Amazon is not about creating 1000s of pages of useless duplicate content with affiliate links - it is about creating good quality content that is useful to people and convinces them to buy.
