I just wonder, thing good today may not be good tomorrow and we just never know. So if google no longer there, what search engine are you going to use? how are you going to market your website? and what else are you going to do?
Google would remain as long as 'searching' remains relevant. If people no longer need to search, then why would we need google? Perhaps.... then we all will be focused on something more exciting, with perhaps another company helping to mastering its usage!
If Google were to disappear, then we'd have to rely on the other search engines left, which are not that good and comprehensive. I'd also lose my job. Haha!
If Google is gone, other ones will be come a replacement. If search engine does never existed, we all have to go through an old fashioned site promotion. 1. Buy banners on a big and famous site such as CNN.com. I bet CPM market would be a big bang 2. Peoples has to think and build something that outstanding, instead of making a plain site and just SEO to gain traffics like these days. The kind of site like myspace.com, youtube.com imeem.com digg.com scripd.com and more will be established much faster. 3. We may have a web 5.0 standard for now. Who knows?
Well with about 90% of the SE market going overnight I would just sit back and watch the other guys like bing and yahoo fight over the void...
I think, If Google is no longer there, then I will go through Bing Microsoft’s new updated version of msn.
First it will not happen, that such a big search engine will just go away for nothing after so much of efforts and hard work. If it would have not been there on the net at all, then yahoo and bing would be one of the top search engines by now. But I am sure no one will get that many followers and lovers as Google has it now around the world.
if there was google, Internet would be better than now. ^_^ People depend on Google too much and Google is too big to compete. Thus, it is demotivate people to innovate new things.

Exactly! For as long as people are still searching (99%) of searches happens with a question, Google won't die
I will use Yahoo since they are the second most traffic source from search engine to me sites(even though the gap between Google and Yahoo is HUGE =))
At this point I would Party Like It Were 1999 ... well 2099. Sure would miss some of the great tools though! The reason for this attitude. I would see likely a 20-30 percent increase in revenue if everyone now had to search on Yahoo or Bing!
Come on people why discuss something that most probably wont happen. Its something like what if there is no windows GUI, what will you do? Stick with the text based or shift OS. This type of question should be in the DP chat forum. Where did you get that Adam? The latest I heard yahoo will be implementing some of Bing's concepts as they have an agreement with Microsoft.
I think MS has done good with Bing, so I'd go there. Basically MS is patterning Bing and their strategies to what Google is doing.
We are now got habitual to google, so if google is not here any more then there will be a big shock in our lives as we are using too many google's free services other than search engine. like gmail, webmaster central, adsense, wordmaster, maps etc.... Life without google will be really boring... we might start using microsoft again
