Hi guys I want to ask some thing about keywords traffic that why do i get the same traffic/search volume for two different keywords from google keyword tool? e.g keyword 'web hosting' and other one 'hosting web' Thanks in advance
Because you're looking at them on broad match, and on broad match, in adwords , your ad could be shown whichever one was typed in. Look at them in exact match to get the real search volumes - globally hosting web = 12,100 and web hosting = 1,000,000 monthly
Hey Buddy, One need to understand the Keyword match type preference, before using Google Adwords. You can apply the following matching options to your keywords: 1) Broad Match - Broad match is the default setting for all your added keywords. Therefore, when you add a new keyword to your ad group without quotes or brackets, it appears as a broad matched keyword. For Example: sed book dealer. 2) Phrase match - Phrase-Match keyword triggers your ad to appear for any query that includes your keyword or phrase in the exact sequence and form that you specify.(Additional terms in a user's query can precede or follow the phrase.) .For Example: "Used Books". 3) Exact match - Exact match is the most precise method for targeting your keywords. Use exact match when you want your ad to appear only on a query that precisely matches the keyword you have chosen without any additional words or letters before, between, or after the keyword. For Example:[used book]. 4) Negative match- Negative-match keywords prevent your ad from appearing when a search includes a keyword that isn't relevant to your ad. Your ad won't appear when a negative keyword you've specified is included in a user's search query. For Example: -used books. I hope this post will clear some of ur doubts regarding Traffic volume on keywords.
Hi Magda but i need local traffic. i wanna ask that why traffic is different in 'broad' and 'exact' match for any keyword?
Because in adwords, if you set your keyword to run in broad match, it will also trigger ads for synonyms and related terms, so the results the adwords tool shows in broad match reflects the traffic/impressions from that. If you set your keywords to run for exact match, your ad will only be triggered for searches for your keyword as you've added it to your adgroup,
