I think links not very important for a site?

We think links not provide long term support to sites...
If we do good seo a site then they never come down.

Frankly if you are a SEO or Web service firm and don't think links are important, time to get a new job.

Seriously it is IMPOSSIBLE to rank for any competitive keyword without working on building links.

please check your site following keyword"wine store"..
we not find in top 10 position & also 10 pages

I agree with MarkAse, there is no way that you will ever compete in the search engines without some kind of link strategy. You should be fired as an SEO, I recommend you get into "TV SEO", no links required in order to get seen.

 

link is a word. all we see on our pc monitor is a word, and aslo an image has a word in it.
so.. what make you think that link is not important ? base on what you say so ?

 

I think you are wrong. From my personal expierence i can guarante that links is very important for Serp and traffick.

 

Content is the FOOD and links are the AIR. There is no way you can survive without both. The same thing is about ranking your site in competitive market.
You have a lot of article to read and a lot of sites to promote to become SEO professional.

 

Wow! This is for the first time i read someone said "Links are not so important in SEO". SEO Fuel is Link. So, i think no other way a website can stand in 1st position in Google page without a link pointing to it. And one new factor, Speed Page Loading.

 

I think it depends on your competition. If you're after a local search term - nursery in local town - then the site can often rise to the top with few or no links if it has good onpage seo. If however you're after a more competitive term then its links links links ...

 

you still need to have links. you can't get into the top without backlinks since its a requirement to gain importance.

 

Never thought I would see a thread with this title. If you do not think links are important what method do you use to gain PR?

I so agree with MarkAse. I handle several sites and developing links are so important. But of course this is not the only consideration. One need quality content too. Any SEO person who dont build links is not a reliable one.

Good or not, you can't possibly think of SEO without links pointing back to you. But where did you get this weird idea from?

If you want free traffic coming from search engines, then links are crucial. Whether your site attains them naturally or through artificial means, they do affect your search engine rankings in a drastic way.

Build links if you want to rank. But, know your keywords and get them right before you start all the link building work.

 

Are You sure Buddy?...I have a Blog (that perhaps people called it as amateur blog cause of it's only a sub domain...), then I add my Signature (it's a Link) on this DP, when I checked my Backlinks with my Google toolbar...mostly are links from this DP. So I think Link is still important Buddy...

 

Llink building is still going to be the SEO trump card for the foreseeable future. Links are still the basic connector, the basic relationship, on the Web. And for the foreseeable future they're going to be the easiest way for a computer program to judge the importance and trustworthiness of a Web page.

 

I laughed out loud when I read this title. Links are easily the #1 factor when it comes to SEO. Everything else is secondary in comparison.
