    Hello,
I am working on a site for a client. Client's domain is currently parked at Godaddy and I believe is not in use. He is going to re-purchase the site.

I am setting up a wordpress site for the client under my hosting and when the site is ready, we will switch his Godaddy nameservers to point to my hosting.

My question is: How can I built out the wordpress site and be able to see what I am working on on a live site.

I can hook up clientdomain.com to my hosting and work on it but I cannot see the live site that I am working on.

Hope that is not too hard to understand and hope someone can tip me off to an easy fix!

    Thanks!

How about using XAMPP or WAMP to develop the site locally?

Once you're done developing locally, usually all you'll need to upload is your WP db (export/import from WP admin), and your themes/plugins/media directories.

.. and welcome to DP :)

Thanks for the reply! That is a little over my head at the moment. I will eventually be able to do this but for now, this site needs to go up today and I don't have time to learn anything new. Any suggestions on how I can see this site without the nameservers being changed over?

set up host.clientdomain.com to go to your site. Point that to a folder on your website.
