However, that being said, I would start off by searching for "Keyword Strategies" or "finding keywords" and such as that to me is the base of any SEO venture. You'll also need to choose a domain that has those keywords in it as I've reached high rankings based on that in longer-tail keywords especially. So to get you off and running, look for blogs and articles (ezinearticles has some as well) around the following (not an all-inclusive list, just enough to get you started): keyword strategy, web 2.0, website SEO articles, social media articles, backlinking strategies.
Maybe you can visit some professional SEO forums or blogs. Here recommend you some sites that may help you, seomoz.org, searchengineland.com, seochat.com, webmasterworld.com, etc.
First try to get basic theoretical knowledge about SEO and then upload your own site or site on which you can do experiments. Accordingly do experiments on your site because its better to learn anything practically.
