Yeah but it's "easy money" that you gain by doing something you most likely don't enjoy. There's nothing rewarding about it either. When I used to have a real job and got my paycheck, I didn't even care about it. Now that I earn my own money through affiliate marketing, I get excited and feel like I accomplished something even if I got like a $20 sale. Now if you truly enjoy your real job and you're doing something you've always wanted to do, then that's another story. Unfortunately, that's usually not the case and most people would rather be doing something else.
But what stops people from doing both? I'm a full-time SEO specialist at a huge internet marketing company. I do contracted side SEO projects. I do affiliate marketing whenever I can with CJ and CB. I'm also studying web development. And I have a son and wife at home Internet marketing is not something I've always wanted to do - I just happened to stumble upon it.
Well that's why I said if it's something you enjoy, then that's another story. If there was a job out there that I actually liked to do, then sure I wouldn't mind doing that along with internet marketing.
Yes, that would be interesting. I'm struggling with click throughs on my articles. Am doing about 2-3 a day but the CTR is only about 3% so pretty rubbish. Also are you doing any other promotion for your site/landing pages or just the articles?
What i usually do is post an article on my site and do little link building for that article and that gets me more traffic.
posting articles sucks a lot of nuts. It is a decent way to start making a good living online, but is incredibly boring, tedious work. If you feel you have to use articles in your business, I would outsource them. There are plenty of people on this site who write quality articles for $3 each. You can expect a quality article to make you about $30 a year, so it eventually works out in your favor.
True. Specially whenever I saw a so-called company hiring for a very cheap pay and very demanding, plus I even see some asking to work for them more than 50+ hours a week. They are very crazy. Having your own business is the best.
Yep, and most employers don't seem to appreciate their employees at all and look down on them just because of their position in the company. I have no patience for that kinda stuff.
Maybe you could outsource the articles with the money you make from the part time job? You were doing really well man! However 20 articles is a lot per day hope you stick with it and let us know how you get on with other ventures in the future. Good luck!
Yeah he might be, or maybe he just doesn't update this thread as often anymore. Either way, he still was doing 20 articles a day for a couple weeks and the guy I commented to said it's impossible to write 20 a day, not that it's impossible to sustain 20 articles a day which would have made more sense.
Wow.. Why don't you just write a book? instead of write 20 articles a day. And how many words exactly for each your articles?
20 articles a day is a lot, my question is: Will quantity or quality pay out the most dividends over time. I agree fewer quality articles will pay more in the long run and keep you from burning out.
I think what counts more as far as long term profits is concern is: "working smart" vs "working hard"
