i've deposited cheque i received from adbrite on 17/2/2010 which deposited today.

Cheque was of 50.40USD and i received only 1954/- INR.

    Description in statment:
    USD50.3@44.82LESSCHGS&S.TAX+FCST25/-

Is this with all banks or for only icici?

And as paypal stopped personal/mass payments, chitika will send cheque too. anyone using chitika paypal payment method after this paypal issue?

    Thanks.

Bank charges anything like 250 To 500 INR per USD cheques.so Higher the amount higher the value you will get as it will deduct same amount.

If you get lot of USD cheques, you can speak to Forex guy in local bank branch and he will be happy to reduce it for you.
My bank was charging 350 INR per WIRE transfer ,i just told them other bank don't charge so much and they get the message and reduce it.

I've been using HDFC bank and they charge only Rs.50 for a USD cheque. Try them. They also offer much lesser fees on other services as compared to any other bank especially ICICI.

Well this is with all the banks as in case of international checks. You can use any bank in this matter and they will charge you tax and clearance fee.

    Thanks

fee depends on cheque if you are depositing high value cheques then they will charge higher fee, if you deposits low value cheque then they will take low fee..

HDFC charges between 50-60 INR even for $10k cheqe, its a fixed amount and does not depend on cheque amount value.
