Crap....clicked my own ad by accident when I meant to test link above it..

How can I email the google team to notify them?? I know that you dont have to, and its highly improbable that my account will get banned for it, but just sending them a heads up will make me sleep better.

Does anyone have the email so I could email them just to be safe...

    Thank you...

It doesn't matter if you click less than 3-4 times. Don't bother to inform them and don't click on your ads anymore.

I dont have the email id you ask for but I think there is no cause for worry. Even I click on ads on my own sites sometimes, not with intention of fraud but because as a consumer I found the ad interesting. That is not sufficient to ban someones account. Only if you repeatedly click on your own ads again and again then only there is cause for worry and the need to inform the google team.

If its just one-two clicks then there is no need to notify them. Take care of this in future thats all.

It's no big deal. Google knows accidents happen. No need to email them, they request that you don't for an accidental clicks you just don't want to get a bunch of them. I accidentally clicked an ad on my site a few months ago and freaked out. I searched everywhere trying to find a way to email them and ask them to credit it back but I read on their site that they know it happens and not to email them about it. If you search around Adsense support forums you will probably come across the same thing.

Yeah try  I've been tiring to contact for years now! no I'm sorry to say that the bigger you are the less resource and time you have to reply to individual queries, goes to show the quality of client service they provide. As the others say and myself I wouldn't worry about it if it was just this one time/day, I think google starts mapping your ip if your click bombing your site in large numbers, I've clicked on my own adds in the past and no grief came to my adsense account.

No big deal. Don't worry about it. You may get the amount you received for the click deducted when you read $100 (Payment). But they won't care as it's only one accidental click.

I did similar mistake, one click. I did mail them and being honest, told them to deduct some invalid clicks from my earning. They did reply back with no harsh approach. I never do it again but I suggest you should be honest with them from the beginning. It does not matter how many click you done by mistake, even one, you should do it. A bit time wasted but could help protect your account for a long time.

I ran adsense on my forum a few years ago, and got banned because members of the forum were clicking the heck out of the banners thinking it would help us out. It wasn't a big deal though, we didn't have that much money in the adsense account yet.

you may get an email form google but they will not ban you or anything for one accidental click. but if it happens multiple times, then you might get in trouble. so watch out in the future

Yeah it pays to communicate with google even suggesting to them that you anticipate large traffic numbers (as forums potentially do) and that your willing to utilize google approved click monitoring software on your server. there are plenty of open source resources to do this and/or licensed software available to do this as well. You could send them your clickthrough logs regarding their ads if google feel that some sort of suspicious clickthough activity on your site has occurred.

By doing this you show intent and honesty regarding your revenue earning with the google adsense affiliate program. I think they would then refund the advertisers from (potential) fraudulent clicks rather than ban your account outright. There are many resource on the web pertaining to this wisdom and it could save you the grief of losing your earnings!

Calm down IanT :) No need to worry about 1 or 2 clicks. You should get worried when you get many clicks on your own ads.

Google itself says don't worry. They know everyone makes mistakes. They even go as far as saying don't worry about contacting them. Assuming you did it once and on accident.

No problem at all, I read somewhere on the google forums that they only penalize multiple and voluntary clicks

You are an honest person. I believe honest person could and should deserve more. Anyway, one or two clicks by mistake is acceptable. Just never do it again.
