For media/video blogs best theme is VideoFlick, i-Watch & MediaPress. See videoFlick in action on one of my websites to watch full movies online for free.
I'm in agreement with JFSebastian. Good content is the only sure long-term guarantee of high search enging rankings, and a theme that enables you to concentrate on content is the key. Atahalapua is my favourite.
OK Here's the URLs Atahualpa is one of the standard word press themes available at http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/atahualpa Its produced by a German mob called bytesforall. http://wordpress.bytesforall.com/

I found an excellent wp theme at seeyoursite dot com called standa-matic, its completely free and looks just like a regular web site, no comments, or authorship details, date/time. It just dont look like a blog at all. I have been using it on a site of mine for a few months now and as far as I can tell, it's stable, I aint had no probs with it at all. of all the themes I have used, so far its the best, and it was free! But then I like stuff thats basic so it might be for you if you like all the bells and whistles
I agree, best to choose a theme which is fast loading, as browsers are rather impatient, and will log off your site before even seeing your theme if it is loading too slowly mhclysmic
I recently bought WP Remix theme, it's a great theme but I found it not very user-friendly for newbie... any theme with simple user interface and easy to configure is the best..
