Hello , something happened to my site 2 days ago .It was ranking on page 2 for its most competitive keyword (domain name)and now its not available at all . now it only searches for some categories on pages 15-18 but the main url is out. while i was bookmarking my site 2 days ago in a few major bookmarking sites i also bookmarked on google (dont know why) and in my webmaster account i resubmit my site-map . nothing else . can this be the cause or i just got penalized by google for something. can someone please tell me , i worked hard to get to page 2 and now its all gone. is there any way i can check why penalized and what to fix . thank you
Is the site stagnant? (are you making regular updates to the site?) A lot of people will get up to a good results position and stop their efforts completely and then be surprised when they disappear.
no no , im working on it every day . something just happened in instant . adn it happened only to my main domain
It's called the "Google Dance." It happens all the time when you add new links. Most of the time you will bounce back, but sometimes not, depending on the links you placed.
yah some days I dont even watch to see how many positions I fluctuate. I can be position 2, and then position 5 and then bottom of second page. Logout when you check your position, google remembers what you like and will rank you higher for your current search. Its Erie knowing that they are watching ever search and ranking you by IP address to what you like... deep link a few pages here and there so google sees these deep linked pages as quality links.. something like... site.com/category/name-of-page/subname-of-page/ that kind of stuff.. and get anchor tags of the "name of page" to increase relevance.
