    Hi SEO Buddies,

I have a confusion that if i am not uploading .htaccess to a website does it affect the keyword ranking in Google.Does Google consider the website as the two website one having www and one without www.?

Is there any bad effect of this on keyword ranking of the targeted keywords.

    Thanks in advance

there is no harm in keeping any one of the form. Make sure to redirect all the links of your website to either with www or without www form.
Otherwise your SEO benefits will be divided in both the forms

I don't think is there any harm of your website and pr as well, complete site should be redirect, If you lost PR then no need to worry it will be back very soon and same condition with ranking sector also. But one thing i must want to say PR will be update with in few days or end of this month as we know and during this period that kind of activities not good for website it's just my thought (I don't want to do that kind of activities in these days)

well it is canonical error if there is no redirection in www and non-www.especially Google Bot Considered it as two different pages so if your with www has pr and with non-www may has no pr.that is why redirection is necessary .
