Will SEO business stay in the long run?

I want to know your views, whether SEO business exist in long run or it will be ruined? Please give me some ideas.

I think it will but they have to constantly update and improve their tactics.
Otherwise, when more and more people are doing the same optimizations than no one really stand out.

 

i agree. i don't think the SEO business will go away but if SEOs don't follow up with the latest trends/technologies/news/methods, then they won't be able to stay in the game in the long run.

 

SEO business is just like Technology, just like what they have said it involves changes and its not advisable if you're just stuck into the same tactics.
Everyday something new happens and new techniques are involved.

 

Untill & unless google exist SEO business will exist long way but technical information is more imp with SEO.

 

SEO I can say is already one of the most stable internet marketing tactics. Compared to social media tactics and PPC advertising, SEO provide way more stability and its tactics improvization is one of the most static (it improves slowly while other marketing tactics need constant improvizations).

As for your question about long run, I think we live in a fast paced world where everything can't be considered as long run business unless you own a strong brand like Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc. Small business, no matter where you run it (in offline word as well) will always need adaptation to the latest trends and tactics.

 

SEO business as an activity would surely survive for a long long time... but cannot say the same for the people doing it, simply because people loose their tenacity to change with the change.... over a period!

Tens of thousands make their livings from SEO services, even Google is not insane enough to chop out such an influential group of web users who also heavily use their PPC service.

SEO will live long! more and more companies are now givinf their budget to promotion campains on the net, it is like in the old ages when people moved from the radio to watch tv, so now they moved to the internet - where the money is!

 

No one can tell whether seo will stay or not. If you ask me, it will stay until the internet does.

btw, these days no one can guarantee that the world will stay for another 3 years, let alone the seo business. So carry on with the SEO business without any worries

 

Seo business is here to stay.As long as internet in exist there is no questions that seo service will fade into oblivion. Thousands are launched everday and seo business will be in great demand.

 

It's more like as long as the Internet Exists, SEO will exist.

But the lines between Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing are blurred, and just like Marketing Offline will be around forever so will Internet Marketing and thus SEO. It's a part of the Internet Marketing Strategy.

 

As long as Google still exists and there are rankings, there will always be SEO. There has to be a way to find the most related results for search queries, so there will always be a way to get rankings and optimize your website for these rankings, in my opinion.

 

Day by day peple becoming more and more internet savey so future of SEO is bright, one think keep in mind that it should always be updated from the current market.

 

Hii I had heard that seo depends on google and so on, I just want to say that we are not dependant on google.
It doesnt matter what strategies they follow for ranking if a person is good in ADOPTING to the latest trends then he will go a long way...

SEO will be no different than car mechanics. If you woke up a car mechanic who died 20 years ago an had him look at your engine in your 2010 Chevy - he would not have a clue how to fix it. As long as you can stay up with the ever changing technology - people will pay you for your SEO expertise.
