Will this get me banned from Adense?

    Hey Guys,

I have Facebook pages on which users have to follow a number of steps. If one of the steps is to "visit a sponsor," on my webpage and I have sponsors clearly marked on the page (these sponsors are not Adsense ads), will I get banned by Adsense if I have Adsense ads on the same page?

    Hope I'm clear enough. Thanks!

You could always ask them to look and see. Or you could just roll the dice. You expect someone here to tell you what Google will or will not do?

Seems like no one here actually knows the answer your looking for. Only suggestion i have for you is to carefully read over the ToS of Adsense regarding ad placement conditions.

Think about it. Will what you're doing lead to invalid clicks? Common sense wins. You only want people clicking on ads if they are genuinely interested in the advertisement. Otherwise you get smart priced heavily, or worse, banned.

Well it looks like your luring visitors to click on your adsense ads and that is frowned upon by Google. So I would say it is agianst Googles TOS and you will get banned.

If it is not against the TOS of adsense then it is ok, always keep an eye on Google Adsense policies because they change it and you never knew what will happen. It would be better to go throw adsense policies rather than a wild guess.

What kind of sponsers are they? If these are other ads from normal advertisers, I do not see why you should be banned. Google normally has no problem with that. What you need to be careful about is adult adverts.

Obviously not if its as you said in the bolded part.

Regarding if you have adsense ads on the same page, well i always say this to people: If your asking if something is ok and clearly have doubts and worry about it then thats usually an indicator thats its not a good idea to follow through with it.

I reckon that even implying that the google ads are your sponsors will get you a ban if your ctr is higher than what is expected for your sector. If the google ads run on in the same column under your sponsor ads you could also be banned. That said, I've seen some real flagrant click these ads type websites and wondered how they ever got away with it. Perhaps they didn't get away with it, I never checked as none of them had any content worth revisiting...

True, nobody here works for google. And most threads that start out with
"Will google ban me if...." usually result in a resounding yes.

Google makes it clear that users must first WANT to visit your site.
Second, they must not be rewarded for visiting your site.

In your case, users only want to visit your site to be rewarded.
Are you giving some type of a reward at the end of the steps?
    If so,...Seems a clear violation.

Will you be caught? Does google have spies?

    Who knows?

    But why take the chance?

As long as you don't have a very very high CTR Adsense won't go thinking you are cheating there. Don't worry.

It should be fine just as long as no one can easily mistaken the Google ad as the sponsor. If Google think your receiving clicks from this then then most probably will ban you.

I think a part of it will be where the adsense placement is
    it it is
    sponser
    adsense
right undernehth each other than yah it might be an issue.

If your sponsers are CLEARLY marked and differential from google then ok.

If it had been 2010 I would say its safe but you dont really want to spoil user experience in 2011 (panda updates) when they started to focus more on quality of websites. I would recommend staying away.
