    That is true, it is not allowed to register a .us domain with privacy whois.

    US registry has never requirement like this, then, US registrars will not set up this requirement for US domain registration, if few did, just avoid it.

    It doesn't matter whether you are a us citizen or not. You could buy a .us domain. I prefer namecheap over godaddy
