I learn a lot about link dev and whatnot from a friend of mine, but I just wanted to ask a quick question. If submitting articles to sites, would it be better to submit all articles I have written to one site or to submit each article to a different site? At first I thought you could just submit all of them to multiple sites, but my friend told me that's a bad idea and google will not be pleased lol. He did say that if I edited the articles for submission to other sites, I could also do that, however I'm not too sure if that's a little black hat or not. Thanks.
Whenever I have a stash of different articles I distribute them around the most important article directories to get links from different sources. And yes, I also spin them sometimes, but you have to do that properly with many word shifts so the rewritten article does look different than the original. Don't over do it though.
Submit them to ezine, go etc but spin them as well after all if you have unique articles you want the most link juice out of them that you can get. Twix70
Well my niche is recording audio and PC repair and optimization, however I feel that my articles are definitely much better than a lot of the competition and much more informative, so I'm just trying to figure out a way that I can submit these articles and not get penalized for it. So basically the best option is to write them, spin them and go for it? I want to post them to my wordpress as well, unedited, would that still cause an issue?
there are 2 reasons for submitting articles to article directories. one is to get backlinks and second is to get traffic. more article directories you submit to, more traffic you get. now comes the penalty part. you cannot get penalized for duplicate content on 3rd party site. as long as your site has the original version, you are safe. so the best course of action in this situation would be to post the articles on your site first, wait for google to index it, then submit the same article to article directories. in order for ezine to accept them, your blog admin name and ezine author name need to be the same.
You should send one article only ONCE to one site. You can have an automated service do this for you like dailyargue.com . You send your article to them and they post it on hundreds of sites.
It's fine to submit more then one article to the same site and just make sure you spin articles to submit to other sites.
Yes sorry i didn`t express myself correctly. flammableeye is right. You can send all your articles to one site, then send them all to another site and so on..But never send an article twice to the same site.
Yes make sure you don't over produce articles which are the same content. Search engines like google pick up on this and penalise your site. You do not want this to happen! I good trick is to change the backlink keywords every now and then. i.e. if your submitting one article to 20 directories change the back link keywords on every 5 submissions. Hope this helps!
Duplicate content is a myth. It only matters if you have the same article on your website twice. Other than that change your title and your resource box and send them to as many article directories as you like.
since the purpose of submitting to article directories is to allow others to use your articles, and get more backlinks, I dont think you need to worry about such thing as duplicate content penalty.
I watched the video on dailyargue from google, it was informative, so basically I can really send the same articles to multiple sites and not get penalized. One question I have is: I have two different sitemaps, one is http://sitename.com, the other is http://www.sitename.com, is that a bad idea? They both point to the same site, but I thought it may be a good idea to have a www. and a non www.
I don't think it is about whether or not you get penalized; I think it is more about whether or not it is a waste of time. Put up an article on Ezine Articles, and then put it up on any other article site and you will probably see that Ezine Articles will generate far more click-thrus and backlinks than any other article site.
