SEO (Links) for My Subdomains

    Hey Everyone

I am not new to web design or SEO, but I am definitely not an expert. I have made a website for myself, and I have made 100 different subdomains of the website (for different cities)

My question is which is the best way to promote these subdomains? The usual ways of doing this are obviously limited because of having the same master domain. Does anyone know anyone that provides unique back links for a fair price, or any other way to get links back to all of these subdomains without getting into the problem of having a link to all of these subdomains from the same url or not being able to add a link because one of my subdomains url is not unique?

    I appreciate your advice members!

    Thanks, have a great weekend!!!

    Gordon

now that you made 100 different subdomains, you will need to promote each of those subdomains separately. a better and efficient alternative would be to use folders such as yoursite.com/SomeCity as opposed to SomeCity.yoursite.com. this way all the cities would be separate under different folders and they still would be part of the same site. so when you build backlinks, you get link juice transferred form the main domain to the inner pages. all you have to make sure is that you have a nice sitemap setup. with subdomains, you will have to work 100 times harder as each subdomain is considered as a separate site.

If you really mean "subdomains", then agreed with above that you probably should have simply considered just additional pages/folders. Either way though, you need to get backlinks the same way you would any other time....submit, submit, submit; you're still going to be able to submit links to a lot of different places even though you have the sub-domains and there are SO MANY ways to get links - from bookmarking, to directories (which I'd only use in a Link Mix, not as standalone), article submissions, blog commenting, blog posting, Web 2/Social sites, creating additional sites for links, etc. No worries, you can still get tons of links!

There is a reason why I set it up the way I did. I don't appreciate instead of answering my question you insult my work.

Imaginex all Sultanofseo did was offer an effective alternative. A lot of people pay a lot of money for good advice like that. What has been said is completely correct. At the moment you are effectively dealing with 100 different websites which will make things a bit tricker. What you need to do is try to use each of the websites to link to the others and pass some sort of link juice around. I know this is going to be tricky but you need to find a way to get links to each of these individually. You could consider using the www. subdomain as the base site and try to link to all the sites from this subdomain. You could then focus your major link building efforts on this page. I know you don't respond well to the topic being broached but I would strongly urge you to consider using subfolders.

I have never had great luck with subdomains, they seem like a good idea, I just have not been able to make them successful. Good Luck
