    heh

I have never shot a gun, ever. But I'm all for gun ownership. Maybe one day I will own one and shoot one, maybe not. It's just that so far I personally haven't felt the need or desire to do so.

I've shot them many times, I am about as pro gun as they come more so than most gun nuts, yet I DO NOT own a single gun..

    Nope, private gun ownership...
When I was living at home, my dad had guns. I went hunting, shot with them, etc. Even boy scouts :p

Semi-auto pistols, revolvers, shotguns, assault rifles and rifles. Many different calibers and loads.

Many of the instances in shooting were to harvast animals for food and some for protecting the farm from unwanted preditors.

I own guns, but that's about as much as I'll disclose about ownership and types.

    I've shot a target with a rifle at a friend's house a few times..I would never own a gun though. Unless it's a paintball gun. :)

    M16
    M4 Carbine
    M60
    SAW
    M240-B
    AT-4 (anti-tank weapon)
    9MM Service Pistol
    Claymore Mine
    Grenade Throwing

I'm sure I'm missing something here. The M4 and service pistol I fired a lot. The others were brief training just to try it sort of things.

I do wish I could have fired a sniper rifle but I never got to.

Shooting stuff was pretty much a requirement for guys where I grew up. Unless you were gay or something.

Oh man - I am getting old - some of these were new when I was in the military. Is the AT-4 what we called the LAW (light anti-tank weapon)?

I also did a couple of RPG rounds on a range, we would jump with AKMS (folding stock AK-47) and fired those a bunch of times. Firing an M-16 (BANG - BANG - click - clear - BANG) was always a pain. Also, played with some Stens w/ silencers - those rocked.

Funny thing - I don't really like weapons, but they have their place.

I guess my time as a Forward Scout/Sniper with the Marine Corps counts; especially with 2 tours in 'Nam.

    Many.

    Best rifle I ever had?

Marlin lever action, built in 1896. Octagonal barrel. I sold it to my high school swim coach for a song.

    The idiocy of youth....
