I'm just getting started doing some article marketing and have some basic questions: - Do you always put the link to your site (as HTML) the "About" box? - If HTML in this box is not allowed, is it pointless to just write out the URL as plain text, from a SEO perspective? - Should articlesbase.com not be bothered with since it uses rel=nofollow in the links?
Basic guidelines: use HTML and appropriate anchor text whenever you can, but remember that ALL work you do to promote your site (whether the link to your website is active or not) is helpful in increasing traffic! If it were myself I'd submit to places where I can use HTML first, though!
If I have the option to put links in the body of my article, I do so. But there are certain submission sites that restrict this.
I definitely agree here.. Whether you can use HTML or not, don't under estimate the power of just using your domain name either. They both help very well, whether it be building backlinks or receiving traffic.
Please stop by and submit an article...we allow links in the body text...how many is at the discretion of the article reviewer.
That will depend on the article directories. Some article directories allow links in the body, even then I will use html in the Author box.
