verify Pan at income tax website (India)

    hi friends,,,

    Is there any link on income tax website using that i can verify my Pan card. My friend is entering the pan no in Paypal website but it is not taking.

    please help.

    the 5th word of your PAN number should me the initial of your surname.

    e.g. James Bond
    Pan = ABCDB1122F

    i also got another info. Almost we all have personal Pan card and the 4 digits tell this.
