Just got this in the mail and was wondering how I go about doing this stuff? It's the 1099-MISC?? I'm unemployed and living with my parents (student)... so what do I need to do for the tax return?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

I am no tax expert and get mine done professionally.

While you wait for someone who can give you a better answer, have a look at this tax forum for some info or ask questions in there. http://www.taxforum.us/payroll-tax-forum/t-1099-miscellaneous-1099-misc-652.html

Sorry if this does not help much but i don't want you to get the wrong information.

You could put it under "other income" on a 1040 if thats what you file. You should ask a tax expert.

I don't have a job though, so where do I get my 1040 to file this?

I have yet to file my taxes, but I plan on getting going with it in the next few days. Do any of you have any recommendations on where I can go? H&R Block? Etc. ?

This will be my first time ever..

Depends upon how comfortable you are with reading tax documents. I do my own (see the links in the post immediately above yours) and it's been fairly straightforward.
