WordWeb Pro For Writers

Just wanted to share a cool little app I use for writing articles, forum posts and website content.

There's two versions, free and paid. Both reside in your system tray where you instantly have access to its word dictionary database for definitions, a thesaurus, antonyms, etc.

I use Word. Does everything I need.

Perhaps you can elaborate on the advantages of using this program verses Word?

 

I already have "elaborated" on the software -- if you don't need it, then okay. Otherwise if YOU want to know more, then visit the link I posted for yourself; pretty simple.

 

Hey, I use the free one & this is certainly a must-have. The pronunciations that are displayed alongside words are a blessing for anyone living in India, as commoners here mispronounce many words.

 

That's a good angle. It sounds like a good program for those that English is a 2nd, 3rd or whatever language.

 

Absolutely! And even if english is your primary language, (it is mine), communicating with people for whom it is not can mess up your pronunciations.

 

Thanks for sharing I downloaded and gave it a try but prefer the program I've been using for the past months - TheSage. The interface is easier to use and it has the same features as WordWeb, they are just structured in different (better) way. It's free too.

 

Agree, TheSage is a great dictionary.

I'll have to agree with MJ. Word does all of this plus TONS more.

Indeed is a great spell checker, and just found another IE handy toolbar

HTML Quick Edit Bar: www.winutility.com

You can turn your browser into an easy-to-use editor, upload your pages directly to your ftp, take quck notes over any page, and even play with other sites' elements, though you cannot save the changes, except as local file.

Look at Google's page after retouching with such tool

 

SpellBound is the same thing as IESpell, but for the FireFox browser. I love it!
