Just learning the ropes here, so please bear with me. I read posts where people say they earned $x from a particular click. Not sure where to see that in my Adsense account. I can see totals and averages, but how can you see the individual amounts per clickthrough? And is there a way to know which actual ads were clicked? I can only assume that (valuable) info would help when trying to optimize keyword density on the page. TIA for your hekp. Vito
There is a total shown for each channel that you set up but it doesnt really give you an indication per click. You might want to try export some data and try one of DP's tools... http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/adsense-charts/ Just upload the CSV on that form and then select some of the options. I am not sure if this will be succesful but it might give you some ideas.
Hmm. Just tried it out, Matthew. While the info is useful, it's not helping me to identify which specific ads are getting the clicks and how much they are earning. Vito
you can use adsense tracking scripts like adsensebuddy which login into your account frequently and updates the data, thus give u rough cost.
Just looking at adsensebuddy now. If I'm not mistaken, is adsensebuddy a remote application that logs into your Adsense account to update it? If so, I'm not sure how comfortable I am giving access to my Adsense account to a third party. Vito
OK, just installed adsensebuddy. Realized on my own it is a local app. Pretty cool. But so now when looking at earnings per click, for instance, I see that I have a few clicks under a buck, but I also see a number of them between $2 and $2.50. Is there a way to determine specifically which ads generated those clicks? Vito
The "Earnings Per Click Chart" on DP tools above shows the average earning per click, doesn't it? - not the accurate per click.
When people say that they saw how much one click earned they mostly refer to situations when it's the first click (per day/week/month) on the channel and they see the total for that channel. I (and that's just my own uncofirmed personal opinion) believe that that figure means absolutely nothing. Considering how much G wants to hide that particular piece of information (earnings per click) they might be simply updating your clicks and earnings at different intervals, which makes it rather impossible to determine how much any particular click paid. My advice to you would be to not really bother with how much each particular click pays you, but rather concentrate on maintaing the average CPC and getting more traffic.
