I found a couple of days ago..on Google AdWords: Keyword Tool, a keyword that has Global Monthly Search Volume: 50.000 (Board) and 15.000(exact). The Local Search (for US) displays: Not Enought Data. My question is: is the data approximately true? Maybe not 15.000 searches per month..but is there a possibility that it will be 5.000? I am asking because the .com domain for that keyword is unregistered..and if I buy it I could get the first one in SERP very easily...
In my experience the global data is more accurate than the local data. And use those statistics as ballpark ideas, not precise measurements. But if it says 15,000 than it should be closer to that than to 5,000, at least in theory.
Well, In my experience, the volume shown in keyword tool is just a outcome of a calculation. I never received more than 1/5th traffic of the volume that showed there. I am ranking #1 for a longtail keyword.
that's the reason why its called keyword "suggestion" tool and not accurate.. and it still depends on how you gonna work it..
Google show approximate results not exact. it suggest you to get approximation of competition of keywords in particular niche as globally and locally.
Thanks for the tips. I know this is only aproximately..but I was asking maybe someone did some tests to see the tool`s accuracy
