Is there any benefit from a PR7, 8, 9 or 10 link if it is not in the same niche theme as your own site?

Where did you hear this terribly incorrect rumor that backlinks are only beneficial if they originate from a site with the same niche as your own?

 

Any link is ok. Relevant or non-relevant.

 

If there were two possible backlinks that are coming from high pr sites i would definitely go with the one related to my niche.

 

I agree. There is no harm having backlinks from un related sites. It helps to have niche links aswell in the mix, but it's not the be all, end all. Any PR10, I would jump at the chance.

 

Ive had offers of PR10 but at monthy subscription only. They wanted 250.00 a month which is out of my range.

 

the only befefit of a high PR site is that you will get high PR and then you can sell links to other people who are stupid enough to pay tones of money because you now have high PR. I've done experements on holywood terms and trust me I play with serious budgets, PR makes no difference to how a sight will effect rankings.

And by the way niche DOES MATTER.

wow. It all matters. You need your back links to be related to their niches, and PR WILL DEFINITELY increase your sights value! Just make sure when you're leaving backlinks you don't look like spam.

 

You can't get any better than a backlink from a page with PR10. The only site I know thats a 10 is google.com! lol

 

Can you get the URL of this PR10 site first?

Run some simple analysis like bad neighborhood linking, PR validation, Google penalty, etc.

If they really sell valid PR10 link, the rate could be much higher than that.

Also, make sure it is dofollow to get the value for your money.

I know for a fact that a PR10 backlink pointed to a site that is completely unrelated to the linking site, will still see huge jumps in the SERPs.

 

Well if a page has a high PR like 9 or 10, it must be having a lot of authority and attracting a lot of visitors.
So even if it is not relavant your sure to get some decent traffic.
