Hello guys, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section but I have a few questions. I know this is possible but I'm just wondering how hard it is to actually pull off. Basically, I want to be able to have a bot, that can post videos on my vbulletin board, and search for relevant content. For example, let's say it's movie trailers, then I want that bot to be able to keep up with the latest movie trailers, and post them as a thread, and the trailer within the body. If you guys are familiar with footytube, they use this type of technology, which I think is unique and clever. But can any of you tell me more or less how you go on about approaching such a task? Thanks.
First make the bot code to crawl www and then make it specific to crawl targeted contents. There are certain open source bots that can be used as a starting point . Search it on the net.
You might want to set it up to a cron job if your familiar with those. Also there are several free vbulletin bots available that you can base your program off of.
Yeah I also need bots that backup my websites, answer my emails, create blogs and post articles and even send a detailed report to my iPhone...
