alexa is not a good ranking tool ,because let's say you have 100k daily visitors,if none of them would have the alexa toolbar,alexa won't count them.there are too few alexa toolbars installed
I agree with u alexa is joke, waste your time and easy to manipulated. Serp is the 1st and Page Rank is the 2nd.
I place some value on Alexa rankings because alot of other companies seem too. For example I run a few video game websites and they often check my alexa rank before sending me reviewable games.
Alexa is probably the most pointless site on the internet. A site of mine that's been running for about 2 years now has an alexa rank of 1.01milion or soemthing like that - crawling form 13000000. But my newest site has been running for under a month and has an alexa of under 1000000 ??????whats going on here?
i am using it for fun. but why are there so many websites like to use it to prove their sites popularity?
Beleive me, I always do that, I'm writing about it right now, I used 3 traffic exchange sites for my old domain chaibialaa.com and it got rank of 617K (617.335) on just 1week and a half ..
alexa is still become one of parameters that provides dynamic changes. maybe sometimes it is unfair, but it is still useful
seem like we have to use all available tools together like PR, etc, to determine the popularity of a site.
we all know there is no value in Alexa ranking but why are websites still using it for ranking? it seem like people are doing it for fun and entertainment.
It's interesting to see what the top 100 sites are at least. although I bet google beats them all by miles.
