Other than writing keyword centered content, where else should my target keywords be on my site? In other words, besides the content, where else should I place my keywords?

    Thank you for the help!

Putting them in the Title Tag and H1 Tag always helps.

Put them in the url (domain name if possible and appropriate - and use them as folder names so they form part of the url), as page titles, h1-h6 headers, in internal navigation as hyperlinks - and externally as anchor text for backlinks. Using them as alt tags for images and objects helps.
Don't use exactly the same keyword for all of these on one page - mix in synonyms, long-tails and words and phrases that are closely related to the main keyword

In addition to what everyone else here has suggested, get loads of keywords into you meta data too (e.g. descriptions, titles etc). :)

If you are using wordpress but up a tag field as well.
Makes sure it is the first words in your title and keep the other words to a minimum.

in the Content makes sure it is in the first and last sentance. Not just the middle.

Use the google wonder wheel to help find other words that google expects to see with your chosen keyword.

How do you put keywords inside the Header tags? could someone provide a small example please?
I didn't know you could do that, I figured it might mess up the code somehow. Or am I misunderstanding lol?

Title Tags, H1 Tags, Alt Tags and the URL itself.

I know this is an old thread but I have one more question...

What are the folder names that are mentioned above?

Make sure that the keyword occurs in the title of the article (content) and occurs in the first, middle and the last paras. If you can add meta tags and tags then make sure that the keyword as well as the kw divided in parts in included in them. For adding caption to images, use the alt tag and place the primary or secondary kw in the picture. Make sure that you use different kws or a combination of primary and secondary ones to spread the kw in the content. I hope it works!! :)

You are able to place your keywords in title tag, heading tags(h1-h6), alt tag and anchor tag.

Place your heading title in heading tag.
Suppose you have the page about Digital Point and your keyword is Digital Point than place digital point in heading tag as

    <h1>Digital Point</h1>

You can also make them bold at one or two places in the content but avoid doing it in the first sentence of your content.

Use keywords in domain name, title tag, H1 to H3 tags, anchor text, alt tags, description. But main keyword should use in title and H1 tags.

Mess up the code? If you do it wrong, that could happen. Just view the source of a familiar website to see how it's done, and go for it. Trial and error is the best way to learn man.
