    Hi Everybody,

This is my first time on "Digital Point"... :)

I'm the publisher of metropolasia.com : An online-travel-guide to the cities of Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore.

As part of my traffic-building efforts, I have been writing articles to ezinearticles (35 live articles so far - Most of which were written in the last three months), but although I'm getting a relatively reasonable number of article-views (3,600 views), my click-rate is not very impressive... only 5%... and only 19 articles published...

Can anyone give me some suggestions ? Are the topics I'm writing about wrong ? Do I miss something in terms of how to lead the reader to the click?

Here are some examples of articles that received reasonable views but hardly any clicks...

    1) Macau Attractions - 7 Unique Museums in Macau You Should Try to Visit : ezinearticles.com/?Macau-Attractions---7-Unique-Museums-in-Macau-You-Should-Try-to-Visit&id=3348523

    2) Hong Kong Travel - Romantic Restaurants in Asia's World City : ezinearticles.com/?Hong-Kong-Travel---Romantic-Restaurants-in-Asias-World-City&id=3429107

    3) Hong Kong - Top 10 Attractions in Asia's World City ; ezinearticles.com/?Hong-Kong---Top-10-Attractions-in-Asias-World-City&id=3486273

    4) Hong Kong Attractions - Victoria Peak - Beyond Tourist Traps : ezinearticles.com/?Hong-Kong-Attractions---Victoria-Peak---Beyond-Tourist-Traps&id=3561906

    5) Hong Kong - Beautiful Beaches Right Next to a Busy Metropolis : ezinearticles.com/?Hong-Kong---Beautiful-Beaches-Right-Next-to-a-Busy-Metropolis&id=3630541

    6) Hong Kong Attractions - Five Hidden Gems Off the Tourist Track : ezinearticles.com/?Hong-Kong-Attractions---Five-Hidden-Gems-Off-the-Tourist-Track&id=3590243

    Thank you,

    Metropolasia

Most of the views come from bloggers or webmasters looking for free content. They are not really interested in clicking the links. They are more interested to see if your articles fit their theme.
I suggest you spin the articles manually and submit to other directories. All these are good topics, in narrow niche. You can use Jetspinner.
You can also join Free Traffic System, and select 30 blogs for each of your spun articles. In that case, you can get 30 links from one article, and possibly traffic.

    There could be two options
As it has alraedy suggested above to spin the articles and submit in various directories like dashborad,go articles, idea marketers etc.
Secondly, why dont u go for squido or hub pages.

    Thanks Sheng1,

However, most people strongly believe that article-marketing is a great way to drive traffic to your website (and, eventually, to convert this traffic to sales)... Many people who write to Ezinearticles.com talk about a click-rate of 20% - 30% as the average... If that is true, than something is seriously wrong with the articles I'm writing... I was hoping someone can take a quick look at the links I posted and tell me what am I doing wrong, or is it just that my niche is too narow to attract so many clicks...

Thanks and have a nice day

    Thanks Kuldep,

I've tried Squidoo (5 lenses so far) and Hubpages (1 Hub so far) and the results are far more disappointing than with Ezinearticles.com... I'm afraid the problem I'm facing is not just exposing my articles to more readers (by spinning) but get those people to actally visit my website... People who write areticles as part of their marketing strategy report on 20% - 30% URL click-rate, as the benchmark... My URL click-rate is far below that... I was hoping someone can tell me what am I missing in terms of "leading the reader through the article to the click..."

    Thanks
