I have no idea about conversion rates with promoting products using adwords. Yesterday my CTR was .10% with 141 clicks, 140k+ impressions and my cost was under $25.. With this I sold 4 copies of a product making over $80. Today my CTR was .11%, 82 clicks, 72k+ impressions, cost was $12+ and made 3 sales. Is this a good rate? The profit looks good but if this isn't a good rate that means it can be even better. I'm a newb with adwords, this is my first time using adwords... I decided to use my voucher and promote a CB product.
Sounds like you are using the content network with that many impressions. If that is the case then your CTR is fine. For the search network that would be low. Either way your Cost Per Conversion is what you should focus on. If your pulling a profit great, now get it better. For either the content or search network you can split test ads to raise CTR. And also work on lower click costs to make a bigger profit.
Which rate? The 0.1% CTR or the 3% or so conversion rate? CTR can always be improved. If this is your own site, you have control and conversions can be improved, although 3% is fairly good but that can be improved too. Got to look at CPS however, need to make a profit.
This is a great rate. I recommend split testing this ad with another one to see if you can double your earnings for the same adspend. If you're making over 3x your money, you're doing good. Try to get it up to 6x.
Can you say what you're selling or do you not want to divulge? I'm curious what you were selling to do so well!
If you can make more money than spending, this is very good. Even if the profit margin is low, you can scale up to make huge amount of money
