Paypal Cheque!

Same as you. Asked for a cheque on the 22nd so we better keep each other informed on when we will receive the check

 

Sorry for the noob question. How do these checks work? If some one gets hold of our check and knows someone with the same name can he encash my check?

 

Well yes only someone with same name can withdraw check as its account pay check but no one would risk such a thing coz its trackable and is punishble

 

Paypal checks can not be encashed without being deposited in to the bank account, right?

Anyone, here received cheque in 7 days? If yes when you request it?

 

I have not tried a check ever.

 

I have got paypal cheque payment for several times . offen around one week . but some times ,it's more long even nearly one month

 

@tvcmall. are you from India. I don't think anyone from India has got their cheque in one week

 

I initiated a cheque withdrawal request on 18th Feb. Not received it yet (18th Mar.).

Earlier, in 2007, I withdraw 4 times by cheque and average time it took to reach me was 13 days. The longest one has taken was 17 days, and the fastest was 7 days.

I guess I'll wait till 45 days this time and then make a stop payment request. BTW, stop payment will be charged $15 by Paypal, if my cheque has not been cleared by that time and it will take 5-7 business days to complete the request. And if it has been lost in transit and already en-cashed by that time, GOD knows what to do further.
