I have searched all over the google and the single site who said something about the mysql database space or queries/s was godaddy (a database no more then 200K or M I am not sure). So my question: how much space have actually the hosting plans?(for example for an article site where will insert into database 100000 articles). What hosting providers do you recommend me to use for a site who use a big database resource? Does mysql is added to the hdd space too? Also what hosting do you recommend for a big blog with images and text. I need one to move fast.
What is your budget? And how big is your database in MB? (you should be able to see the size from your cPanel)
please provide me with some good hosting for my needs.. I know I have to go for a dedicated .. but for now I don`t have a budget for it and a trusted one.
Yes, a database that big would require most probably a VPS or Dedicated Server, depending on how many active connections you have at a time and on how well your queries and site are optimized. Remember that even with a VPS you can get suspended for consuming too many resources like CPU and RAM. As for your budget, needless to say that it would have to grow as you go from shared hosting to VPS and to dedicated server...
I think it is enough, you could start off with a ServInt VPS (http://www.servint.net/), they start off from $49 per month, they are managed VPSs and their support is great, you can chat to one of their techs about your site needs and they will tell you exactly if one of their VPSs can accommodate your needs.
I have never worked with a dedicated server or a vsp .. what I have to know about them? do I have to hire a man to configure it or how does it works? does it has only a cpanel or sort of? thanks
No, since they are fully managed VPSs they will have their technicians do all the work for you, including moving your site and database to their VPS, that was the reason why I recommended you managed VPS.
actually they changed the space for mysql (cheappest hosting have 10 x 1 GB) one week ago or something it was 200M or K
sounds really good .. tomorrow I will contact the tech team to see what exactly they offer .. and I will come back tomorrow with other questions if I will need .. can you give me other providers to talk to ? I would like to see more provider's plans
ServInt is the best managed VPS provider, you won't be disappointed of their services and of their support. Of course there are many others out there, you can find out countless names by simply running a search on google, but you won't find ones as good as ServInt. And I talk out of my own experience, I had a VPS from them a while back for a big forum, sadly the forum was too big for VPS and needed a dedicated server and I had to move out, but they even upgraded me to a better VPS package to see if it would work out for me, for free, and while I was there I found out their support was simply amazing. Whichever way you decide to go make sure you get a fully managed VPS since you said you don't know how to work with linux and to manage your own VPS. Good Luck.
Nothing apparently according to the moderation team. Except that you are not allowed to self promote here, and that's what he did.
