    Dear All,

As I can not tell my office friends about this (because no one knows I do this) , I have no other friends then you all with whom I wish to share that I got my first sale today as Vendor.

Unfortunately, I am one of those marketers who are not able to attract a lot of affiliates, because of lack of tools etc. But this sale has made me motivated to have tools (banner etc) for affiliates to actively start promoting my product because I know there is potential out here.

FYI... Excel Tip .info is the product.

I congratulate myself on your behalf.:)

    Cheers

And how did they find your product and bought it?

Did you do any promotion for it?

What's interesting about your product is you're selling it for $50, but if a person were to replace ".info" with a ".com" they can go to a free version. LOL.

I did not do anything to make the sale. Thats the point when I made a sale without doing anything, i am thinking how many sales I will make when I start doing something :)

With .info is the product, do you mean an information product or a .info domain?

Its both, an info product on a .info domain. I thought I could use .info for commercial purposes. Am I wrong?

Maybe DP should start a "support form" for people who need that social contact then these "attaboy" affirmation posts could be filtered out?

Was probably an affiliate purchasing it to check it out. LOL.

You clearly need to get out more - your post is VERY sad!

I just checked out your site. I like the copy, though the overall layout and template could be improved, but I guess it does the job.

Very encouraging post you have there.

Congrats on adding zero value to the thread.

I don't see what's so "sad" about his post. And if it's the "friends" part, I'm sure you already know that most internet marketers don't have anyone they can really talk to about these things for obvious reasons. As an internet marketer, most of your real life friends will not fully understand what you do - they may even put you down and discourage you. And that's exactly the reason why forums like DP flourish, the reason why we're all here - to motivate ourselves and to surround ourselves with like-minded people, people who know the drill, and people who understand.

In the sense of it all, you are basically calling yourself SAD.

Sorry, I don't agree with you that most internet marketers don't have any friends they can share this stuff with ... but clearly you and the OP do. However, if that is how your friends are (putting you down and discouraging you), I suggest you need some new friends too (pretty defensive here, aren't you - I think you probably could get out more too :). My friends don't always understand what I'm doing, but they certainly try to and they definitely don't try to discourage me and put me down! (and if they did, I wouldn't call them friends!)

This was a similar situation for me when I started out aprox 3 years ago, my friends would basically not understand what I was doing at all, or how it worked, they laughed at me for quitting m full time job, and at the small amounts of money I was making.. I think this is normal enough, they're still my friends and I wouldn't say they were nasty or anything, but just didn't understand it at all, and couldnt see the vision I could :)

Now almost 3 years on no one is laughing anymore, but still I don't really have any friends who fully understand / can share my success with me... Like if a friend gets a promotion at work they share this with me and I understand what this means to them, similarly though if I launch a new website, make a ton of sales and really improve my knowledge of how to get the site ranked in google this is something which is an achievement for me and something which actually excites me... but my friends just can't relate at all.

I didn't post on forums when I was starting out, but I think that it could be useful to have people to motivate you, or at least so you can see what they've done and that it is possible and that youre not crazy and chasing a rainbow after all :)
