How do you promote your awesome new blog posts? Don't think Digg would work because Digg is more for news not articles but please do explain your techniques.
Digg does work just try it. ( Has a great PR and will show quicker then your natural blog ) Use Onlywire ( it will submit to 2.0 sites - Quickly) Ping ( do it weekly) RSS Feed
To be honest no one is going to tell you there tips, or really anything. The best advice I can give is to go out there and try shit. There are sooo many ways to promote for free online now and days all you have to do is "google it". So I suggest focusing on 2-3 methods and get rid of the ones that don't work and find some new tricks. Good luck.
I use Twitter, Digg and a couple of other social sites. Twitter sends through around 80% of my traffic - so its definitely worthwhile the investment of time building up a proper following
Actually, if you're already producing a blog you've got on your hands a readymade source of great original, content-laden material for article marketing. You should be able to take any given blog post (perhaps perform some SEO on it), use it as article marketing content, and get it distributed to directories all over the internet, generating a huge amount of backlinks to the blog itself, using article marketing automation. At Content Crooner we have plenty of content creators who do this, with a lot of success. In fact, you can integrate the article marketing process with Twitter and RSS feeds, building a whole new audience of regular readers for yourself. Blogs and automated article marketing are really tailor-made for each other if you ask me -- once they are combined they naturally feed into each other.
You can pickup a lot of good ways to promote by looking at Affiliate marketing. Look at the affiliate special page like on clickbank. They talk about article marketing and where to place ads an so on. I found some great places for info. Good luck!
Pinging is the process of alerting search engines which index blog posts primarily eg google blog search, that you have updated your blog with a new post. http://www.pingomatic.com is a big ping service
In wordpress.com or blog.com ... after you post a blog it will automatically PING your blog ... won't it ?? I'm pretty sure it does. I also use pingomatic.com ... and also http://www.pingler.com/index.php ... both are great tools to ping your websites and blogs.
use the url of the blog post and make blo commenting. It's not really good for traffic, but it's good enough for backlinks, then that particular blog post can appear in search result.
