A well-crafted, regular email newsletter can be very cost-effective and produce immediate results. The amount of tools available to utilize means there's no excuse not to engage an email marketing strategy! We at D-Sign Responder would like to find out which format do You guys prefer to read newsletters in: 1. HTML or 2. Plain text (TXT) The main difference between the two above is that in HTML we can embed some images, text formatting, colors, etc. Plain text is plain text !!!! Please take a 1-minute poll and vote for your preferred format at : http://www.dsignresponder.com/vote so we can decide which format is more popular! Thank you for your cooperation! Have a nice day!
Voted! My preference is for HTML, it looks better and is easier to read the emails. Saying that I agree with MT, you should probably offer both options.
Well, it seems to me that most of the largest companies who have probably tested it out primarily rely on HTML emails. I think that is worth something. A good looking HTML email probably converts better.
Thank you for voting guys! I do like HTML newsletters myself (because of the rich formatting possibilities)! D-Sign Responder offers both HTML and TXT newsletters by the way, I just wanted to start this poll to see the difference in percentages! If you haven't voted yet, the link is : http://www.dsignresponder.com/vote Thank you once again!
Sounds to me like you mainly just want to advertise. Anyway, with multipart/alternative MIME emails, you can offer both in the same message. Problem solved. Personally I have a filter that immediately deletes anything that arrives in HTML without a plain text version.
1. if I wanted to advertise, I would have posted in the Advertising section with an AD oriented text! 2. there was NO PROBLEM, I just wanted to know how many prefer TXT and how many HTML ..... 3. you might miss some great articles/stories/advices that way Best wishes
Huh? In the twenty-five-plus years I've been using email, I have never once received an unsolicited message that was interesting or useful. I doubt it would start happening now.
I don't like HTML email because I keep my email window small and HTML email always seems to be designed for a full browser window. If there needs to be HTML, I would rather get a txt email with an overview and a link to a web page.
Sign up for Sitepoint's newsletter (http://www.sitepoint.com/newsletter) ! You're not the only one who have been using email for those long years Bets regards!
I currently use text e-mails but I myself like HTML much better but I have to accept to load the content in Thunderbird every time I try and read one So, I recommend a plain text and a HTML one.
